June Software Updates
June 28th, 2010
It’s been another busy month, and we wanted to share with you the recent updates to Malinko.
Regular Jobs
If you have regular appointments (available on our Small package and up), then we’ve made lots of improvements to this feature. You can easily set up the schedule, from weekly to annually.
Charging
Although you could previously add a charge to your appointments by requesting a custom field, we have now brought it into the core Malinko product and added some bells and whistles. Not only can you add a charge to all the jobs you add onto the system, you can also put in a daily threshold or target for each of your allocated resources, and see a live view on the week-planner if you’re hitting your targets. To take advantage of this new feature, just give us a quick call – it’s a free update for all our customers.
Drivers – not just vehicles
Although many companies only schedule one type of resource, such as people or vans – occasionally you’ll want to assign a vehicle to do a job, and specify which person will be doing the job. With this new update, you can now separate your drivers from your vehicles. Most of the time the same person will be in the same vehicle, so you can set default drivers, but you also have the option of changing this if someone is off sick. The reports Malinko generates can then break down not only which vehicle did the job, but which person too.
Visual changes and improvements
There have been lots of tweaks and improvements to the look and feel of Malinko. The details of the clients and customers is now neater, as is the the week planner – so you can see more clearly a whole weeks work.
Remember, all the updates take place behind the scenes, you do not have to update any of your software – we do all that for you. If you have any questions on the new updates, or would like any of the new features added to your account, please get in touch.
We’re already well in to the updates for July, and are excited to share with you some big updates that will be taking place.
